Utah State Fair

Here we are at the Utah State Fair. The boys didn't really know what to think about it. They didn't want to stay in the stroller. They wanted to run around everywhere. It was so much work. I think we'll wait a few more years before we take them again. ha ha

Once Lincoln saw the train driving around, he knew he just had to ride in it. He cried and cried til it was his turn.

Lincoln loved the big yellow slide. We bought 12 tickets to share between the four of us. I think Lincoln used six of the tickets. I was scared at first to go down the huge slide, but Link had no fear. He probably would have wanted to get a running start if he could.

Gateway fountains and frontrunner

For Lincoln's Second birthday we decided to take him to the fountains at the Gateway Mall and let him run through them. We rode the front runner there and back. He thought it was the coolest thing! He finally got to ride on a real "choo choo".

First and Second

This past September we celebrated the boys' birthdays. Mason turned one and Lincoln turned two. Their boirthdays are only a week apart so we decided to do one big party for them at Gailee Park. The kids had a blast playing at the park.

For their birthdays I wanted to make the cakes. My sister was nice enough to let me borrow her cake decorating set, so I had some fun with it. Don't judge...It was my first time decorating cakes. But with that in mind, I don't think they turned out too bad.

This is the birthday cake I made for Mason.

And this is the cake I made for Lincoln. He absolutely LOVES Thomas the train. Well, any train for that matter...ha ha. So I was excited for him to see his cake.


This was Uncle Odell's present to the boys. They have fun riding it around.

Mason didn't really get how to blow out the candles so we had Lincoln blow out Mason's candle for him.

I was right...Lincoln LOVED his Thomas cake. He was super excited to eat his very own Thomas birthday cake. He talked about it for days afterward.

This was Lincoln's favorite part of the night. He had so much fun tearing the wrapping paper off of his presents!

Lagoon

This past September we took the boys to Lagoon with Grandma and Grandpa Newland and their cousins Corbin and Spencer. It was their first time at an amusment park. Lincoln had so much fun riding all the rides!

Just Playing Around

Here are some random photos...

We put Lincoln and Mason down to bed one night, and after we had turned out the lights, Lincoln climbed into Mason's crib and we could hear them playing and laughing for a long time. Then after a while, it was quite so I went in to check on them and this is what I found.

This was Mason's first experience with an oreo. He loved it!

Aunt Brenda's cat had kittens and she brought one over for the kids to play with. Lincoln didn't care much for it, but Mason absolutely loved it. He wouldn't let the poor thing go anywhere.



Lincoln loves jumping on our bed and I keep telling him that if he's not careful, he's gonna get stuck between the wall and the bed....I was right.

Over the summer I had been trying to get my hair super blonde. It was a very long process and I had to go through several different stages of "blondness" to get here, but this is a picture of me after I had finally reached the right level.

Steve and I on the deck at my parent's house. The sunset was really pretty that night, so I made Steve pose with me.

Steve and I went to Zuppas. It was super yummy. Can you tell by the smile on my face?


It was a long day.

My Birthday

25....Half way to 50. I'm getting so old! Well at least some days I feel like I am. This year for my birthday, Steve bought me a strawberry cheesecake, wich was to die for!

He then took me to Snowbird to ride the zipline and bounce on the trampoline that you wear a harness and you can do flips and stuff. We waited in line FOREVER, but had some good times along the way.
